At Endomag, we’ve had the privilege of spending time in operating rooms across the world for more than a decade.
This has given us a unique insight into the similarities and, more importantly, the differences, between how breast cancer is treated. It’s these differences that really help drive breast cancer treatment forward.
So, we had an ambition – what if we could bring together the leading minds in breast cancer surgery, from both sides of the Atlantic, to discuss, debate, and define the future of breast cancer treatment?
From that, the Transatlantic Breast Cancer Collaborative (TBCC)
was born.

The First "Anti-Meeting" Meeting
The First "Anti-Meeting" Meeting
TBCC had to be different from every other meeting. It had to be more about collaboration and debate.
When Endomag introduced the concept to Susan Boolbol, MD and Jill Dietz, MD, they instantly ‘got it’ and together we coined the term the “Anti-Meeting" meeting. That summed up what we were trying to achieve.
To make this meeting worthwhile, we needed to create an atmosphere of inclusion, an environment where we could hear both sides of an argument, but then also give the discussion equal billing.
So, we made the talks shorter and the discussions longer. We had lively debates that were picked apart by panels packed with experts. We even removed the lecterns to make this feel like a new experience for our well-seasoned speakers. The results were better than we could ever have hoped for.
